In terms of Rules, Bye-Laws and Business Rules of the Exchange, Members may please note that the Exchange has received a letter no. Enforce. - 1/2 /360/13 dated August 22, 2013, from the District Collector of Stamps (Enforcement-1 and 2), Mumbai in respect of online payment of Stamp duty through Gras System. English translation of the letter is enclosed on best effort basis to help the member. However the original letter issued in Marathi language is to be treated as final in case of any discrepancy.
We have enclosed herewith the above referred letter as Annexure and Annexure I. Members are requested to take note of it and ensure necessary compliance.

For the knowledge of payment through Grass System at this office, one of the representatives from related department of your organization should be informed to present at 11.00 in the morning on 31/03/2013 at Office of the Suptd. of Stamps, Mumbai.

Reference: According to the instructions in adjoining letter from this office.
Respected Sir,
Until now the registered members from state of Maharashtra and from outside Maharashtra of Exchanges such as MCX/ NCDEX/ NSEL/ ACE/ UAE and members from NSE/ BSE are paying stamp duty on transactions done and penalty as well in the form D.D. or Pay Order to District Collector of Stamps Emforcement-1 and Emforcement-2 respectively.
Sales unit of District Collector of Stamps has scheduled to stop accepting stamp duty and penalty amount through cheques from 16/08/2013 onward and instead of it oral orders are given for implementation of Gras System for recovery of Stamp Duty by online method; the related notices are available in branches. In connection to this, all the members doing transactions through your exchanges should be informed about this notice. Moreover you are requested to inform all the members doing transactions through your exchanges about this new development.

NOTICE
By the orders of the Upper Stamp Controller, Office of the Suptd. of Stamps, Mumbai, hereby informing to all the concern parties that from 16/08/2013 onwards stamp duty and registration fees, and Judicial as well as non-judicial Stamp duty should be paid by Online Grass System. In any circumstances payment in cash and by pay order will not be accepted from 16/08/2013 onwards. Online payment facility through Gras System is available on below given websites. For obtaining the Challan for stamp duty amount the following scheme code should be applied. The amount mentioned in the Challan can be made in cash or by pay order in the all branches of Bank of Maharashtra and select branches of State Bank of India and IDBI bank. The information about these branches is available on the websites of the respective banks.
