FACILITY TO CANCEL BO ACCOUNT CLOSURE INITIATED BY BO
Currently when an account closure request “Initiated by a BO” is setup in the CDSL system, such closure request cannot be cancelled.
CDSL has been receiving requests from some participants regarding the above. The participants had informed CDSL that many a times the BOs change their decisions to close the accounts and that the BOs do not wish to open new accounts and instead wish to continue with the account which they had intended to close.
In order to enable DPs to cancel a closure request which has already been setup in the system under the reason “Initiated by a BO”, a facility has been introduced wherein a closure request can be cancelled on request of the BO.
