NSE-Extranet facility was launched on October 16, 1998 vide our circular No.NSE/SYS/00651 and all the TMs of CM Segment are currently availing this facility successfully. We are pleased to extend this facility to the TMs and Participants of WDM Segment.
For this facility, NSE has installed a dedicated server in its premises which will store various information useful to the TMs and participants for their daily operations as well as for upkeep of knowledge about the Exchange activities and the announcements made from time to time (e.g. Daily trading, clearing reports and data files, Circulars, etc.). The privileged user of the TMs and Participants can easily access this information using their NEAT trading server through the NSE's VSAT network. The information (files, reports and circulars) can further be picked up (uploaded) to their own server. Most importantly, they can do so at their own convenient time (baring trading hours).
In view of the above facilities in the pipeline, the members and participants are requested to ensure that their server machines have following software’s installed.
Software Requirements
· Windows NT 4 with Service Pack 4 (or higher)
· EICON SOFTWARE for WINDOWS NT V4.R2 (with Eicon routing services installed)
· WS_FTP client software (available on Extranet Server)
Steps involved in availing the above facility:
Procure the necessary hardware and software components.
Users to get basic setup Installed through vendors (Self explanatory installation guidelines are provided in the Annexure).
The Exchange to organize its staff/contractor to load the Extranet Browser software at the user's premises and create dedicated user space on the Extranet Server at its end.
With increasing requirements for functionality's and volume of business, it is suggested that it would be in the interest of members and participants to carry out necessary up gradation to their existing Server configurations as per the details given above, in order to derive maximum benefit.
